The Old Beams is now run by a company called “Wylde Thymes” which is a consortium of local guys who have a passion for Stourport and the community and have got together to save The Old Beams from closure. The guys are from different backgrounds and fields but with the one aim of bringing new life into this wonderful old building and providing a place for the community to come together and socialise and generally have a good time.
The Old Beams is a 15th Century building situated on the Areley Kings side of the River Severn, just over the bridge from Stourport town centre. With its wealth of beams, it has a large car park and private rear beer garden backing onto a large common meadow making it an idyllic place to sit with family and friends for a leisurely drink or enjoy some of the wonderful home-cooked food served by our team of chefs. We have a variety of meals on offer from lighter bites, plates to share, Sunday Carvey, A La Carte menu, dedicated children’s menu plus our regular special offers. We also have an afternoon tea menu available which can be served inside or out. As many of our guests bring along with them their beloved four-legged friends we have our very own dog station which has water bowls, dog biscuits all ready and waiting, dogs are welcome inside and outside in the gardens.
The Old Beams is known for its relaxed atmosphere and with a large selection of good food, beers, spirits, wine and cocktails its a good place to while away some time before jumping back into the world.
