“This show was the most exciting and unusual performance I’d seen for a long time and one that has really made me think. The audience clearly loved it and people got quite emotionally involved, one Iranian lady was in tears.” Live & Local staff review of last year’s show
To bring productions of this calibre to remote rural communities like us is a real cultural lifeline. You are to be commended.” Village Audience
Creating theatre especially for village halls, this company have a long track record of excellent productions perfect for rural and other small communities.
Actors are cast as much for their professional ability as their friendliness, and they always strike a rapport with an audience, making for performances that you will feel ‘part of’ without feeling ‘on show’.
Their theme this year charts the dramatic changes to rural lives with the arrival of electricity as it creeps from village to village during the winter of 1963. A community gathers, a hand rests on a light switch and suddenly, like magic nothing is ever the same again.
Hard to imagine a life without it today, electricity completely transformed country lives allowing people to gather, to celebrate, to work and simply to live.
Made for an audience of adults (which older children 10+ can enjoy) the show will have a real community feel and will feature live music and song to conjure up the idea of celebration.
