Stourport Forward – If you are interested in getting involved in some of the events and continued development of Stourport-on-Severn, then you can volunteer to help out. There are a wide range of skills required from marketing and events planning to admin and organising other volunteers. Find out more about volunteering with Stourport Forward.

Hartlebury Common Local Group – why not volunteer to help the conservation work on Hartlebury Common on first Sunday and third Saturday of each month on Hartlebury Common and also on some Thursdays during each month (usually two). All ages of people are very welcome, however, children and young people under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian. We meet at 09.30 am at one of the Hartlebury Common car parks depending on the task which are many and varied across the whole of the common. As long as volunteers are there at 9.30 am they can stay for as little or as long and they wish and there is no regular commitment – volunteers just come and go as their life determines. For further information please contact Dr Joy Rooney 01299 877275 and the details of the volunteering opportunities can be found on their website.

The Friends of The Civic – The Friends of The Civic was launched in January of 2012 by The Civic Group. Its members provide support for The Civic Group in a number of ways, such as a volunteer base, or a representative group which The Civic Group can consult with on future plans for the group and buildings. The purpose of the Friends group is to support The Civic Group in their efforts to provide a venue for the Community. Income from the Friends Group subscriptions will make a valuable contribution towards fund raising for items which in turn enables us to provide better services for the Community. Subscriptions to the ‘Friends of The Civic’ are £1 for a year and are open to anyone and everyone. For further information visit www.thecivicstourport.co.uk

Stourport Carnival – the carnival committee are always looking for skilled and unskilled volunteers to help with the Stourport Carnival – if you are interested in getting involved and contributing your time to help support a very worthwhile cause please contact info@stourportcarnival.co.uk

Could you help support an older person returning home from hospital? After a stay in hospital many older people feel vulnerable, isolated and unable to cope with day to day life. They are often on their own, trying to adapt to changes in their lives. We are looking for caring people who can spare a few hours to support older people to regain their independence and improve their quality of life. Training, personal development, peer support and expenses are available for these rewarding opportunities. Contact Hereford and Worcester Age UK now on: 0800 0086077
