Stourport Canal Basins Heritage Rooms

Stourport Canal Basins are firmly back on the map thanks to a major heritage initiative that is transforming the site into an interactive attraction for local people and visitors alike.

The latest developments include the creation of The Old Ticket Office as a Heritage Room, providing information about the Basins and the growth of the town, and the refurnishing of The Tontine Stable Heritage Room which contains displays about the history of the Basins and some of the animals that worked there. The Heritage Rooms will gradually be staffed by volunteers from Stourport Forward and Stourport Civic Society and details of the opening times will soon be available on this website.
